Senate Set To Grill Officials Over Capitol Hill Breach

Once again, the Democrats prove that they are totally and completely fixated on the past. In fact, they are so fixated that one does wonder why they make such a concentrated effort to destroy history, though it becomes clear that revisionist history is their real goal.

Starting with the asinine assertions of various Democrat senators, namely Senators Blunt, Peters, Portman, and Klobuchar, all of whom are chomping at the bit to scrutinize the origins of the Capitol Hill riots. Starting with a public hearing, which will begin very shortly.

As if Impeachment 2.0 did not already reveal the farce of their inquiries. Perhaps they simply needed more time to potentially doctor evidence, not to mention potentially doctor witnesses, as they have been widely rumored to do more than once.

They’ll probably still be talking about the Capitol Hill riots for the next 3-4 years, given how long they fixated on Russian collusion, ironically allowing COVID to slip in while putting Trump on “trial” for non-existent collusion at the end of 2019.

And, like typical leftists, the Democrat senators were sure to lay on the melodrama with their statement, even asserting that the attack “is an attack on every American.”

“Let us be clear: An attack on the Capitol Building is an attack on every American … We plan to conduct oversight and hold bipartisan hearings on these horrific events, and work together to make the necessary reforms to ensure this never happens again.” [Source: Fox News]

Nice to see such concern for Americans. Where was all this concern about “attacks” on Americans last summer? Crickets …

Needless to say, the Democrat Senators are also completely aided and abetted by McConnell, who apparently cannot figure out what he wants in any context. He opposes Garland, then he supports Garland. He supports Trump, then he opposes Trump.

And his opposition to Trump was quite melodramatic as well, as illustrated in his commentary on the Capitol Hill riots below.

“January 6th was a disgrace … Fellow Americans beat and bloodied our own police. They stormed the Senate floor. They tried to hunt down the Speaker of the House. They built a gallows and chanted about murdering the Vice President.” [Source: Fox News]

Ok. First off, “bloodied our own police.” Could McConnell please speak as openly against BLM and Antifa, considering they are the ones who have long called for the death of the police? Furthermore, both groups have actively targeted police officers of all races, including active and retired police.

Where are the statements regarding how BLM “bloodied” them?

As for “hunting down” Ms. Pelosi, McConnell once more illustrates his willingness to be melodramatic, whenever it is politically expedient, anyway. And, speaking of additional melodrama, McConnell was sure to lay the blame entirely upon Trump.

“They did this because they had been fed wild falsehoods by the most powerful man on Earth — because he was angry he’d lost an election… And their having that belief was a foreseeable consequence of the growing crescendo of false statements, conspiracy theories, and reckless hyperbole which the defeated President kept shouting into the largest megaphone on planet Earth.” [Source: Fox News]

“Wild falsehoods.” Right, the same “wild” thoughts shared by tens of millions of Americans, whose fears have not exactly been eased by a militarized DC and nonstop kowtowing to China, Iran, and, of course, the most destructive forces within the United States today: BLM and Antifa.

Thus, McConnell’s extreme language aligns near-directly with the aforementioned Democrat Senators, who used even more melodrama to justify their upcoming inquiry.

“The January 6, 2021 attack on our Capitol, one of the great symbols of American democracy, will forever be a stain on our Nation’s history. The attackers failed to disrupt the work of Congress, due in large part to the heroic acts of many officers and congressional staff … Nevertheless, the security failures that led to the breach endangered not just the Vice President and the Congress, but the peaceful, democratic transfer of power itself. The American people deserve a complete accounting of those failures.” [Source: Fox News]

Right. You know what else will be a “stain” on the United States’ history?
