Lawmakers Ignore Southern Border Crisis — Sends Ukraine Billions Instead

After over a year of neglect, the crisis on our southern border has reached levels of insanity no one could have predicted. The federal government is totally disinterested in fixing the problem. In fact they are actively avoiding the issue, choosing to focus on foreign wars instead.

On Wednesday, the federal government narrowly avoided shutdown when the House of Representatives passed a $1.5 trillion omnibus bill, which established the first new spending levels under the Biden administration.

The negotiations were notoriously difficult with both sides duking it out over how the funds would be allocated. Democrats demanded additional China Virus aid to the tune of $15.6 billion that was eventually removed from the omnibus and turned into a standalone bill at the GOP’s request.

The supplemental coronavirus aid bill includes $9.85 billion for vaccine and treatment procurement, $750 million for countering future variants, and $4.45 billion for global health initiatives, among other measures.

Nancy appeared crazed during a press conference in which she took questions about the legislative process as it pertains to the new spending bill.

She eventually bristled at one reporter, urging her to “grow up” about the bipartisan process needed to pass legislation of this magnitude. She’s nuts!

However, one bipartisan measure received little-to-no debate whatsoever:

Billions of taxpayer dollars for foreign security.

The government funding package spends about $370 million in taxpayer money to fund “enhanced border security” in Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt, Tunisia, and Oman. At least $150 million of that funding is allocated for Jordan’s borders.

Likewise, the package includes taxpayer money to fund border security in Libya, “border security activities” in Nepal, and “border security programs.”

Then there’s Ukraine…

During the onset of a massive military conflict in Ukraine, it appears that Putin is showing zero signs of relenting. He’s ordered massive strikes in civilian areas resulting in mounting casualties and general devastation in Ukraine.

The war hungry lawmakers on both the Democrat and Republican sides of the aisle are using the conflict not to vote on major increases to U.S. oil production, but to send Ukraine billions in taxpayer dollars. Common sense would tell you perhaps lawmakers should focus more on U.S-based solutions to remove our involvement in a foreign military conflict while increasing diplomatic efforts in the region.

But we all know Deep State involvement in the Ukraine conflict takes precedented over common sense.

The omnibus bill, funding every part of the government, includes a 6.7% increase in nondefense spending to $730 billion, the largest in four years, according to the House Appropriations Committee. It also includes an increase in defense spending, a key Republican priority, by 5.6% to $42 billion.

Russian aggression in Ukraine is perfectly serving the interests of globalist Deep State actors, war mongering Democrats and Republicans, “green” obsessed progressives, and the establishment media.

Something certainly smells fishy…
