Recent reports suggested that Robert Mueller would be testifying to House Democrats on May 15th, however these plans have seemed to fallen through.

According to the Gateway Pundit, “House Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler (D-NY) told reporters on Friday that Robert Mueller will not testify before the Committee next week.”

“We’re talking to the Department of Justice. We’re talking to Mueller. Hopefully he will come in. It won’t be next week,” Nadler said.

Nadler then threatened Mueller with a subpoena. “He will come at some point. If necessary, we will subpoena him and he will come.”

Nadler and the rest of the Democratic party are still clearly outraged at the fact that the Mueller report proved that the Trump campaign in no way colluded with the Russian government. They are also upset about the way Barr released the reports findings to the American people.

President Trump has weighed in on the idea of Mueller testifying, saying that the Democrats only want him to testify because they are looking for a “redo”:

TRUMP: “After spending more than $35,000,000 over a two year period, interviewing 500 people, using 18 Trump Hating Angry Democrats & 49 FBI Agents – all culminating in a more than 400 page Report showing NO COLLUSION – why would the Democrats in Congress now need Robert Mueller to testify.” Trump said in a Tweet Sunday, adding, “Are they looking for a redo because they hated seeing the strong NO COLLUSION conclusion? There was no crime, except on the other side (incredibly not covered in the Report), and NO OBSTRUCTION. Bob Mueller should not testify. No redos for the Dems!”

The Democrats are so eager to have Mueller testify because they want to question Mueller in relation to a letter that he sent to Barr in relation to Barr’s four page summary of the Mueller report.

The media initially reported that Mueller told Barr that the summary “did not fully capture the context, nature, and substance.”

They purposely left out a very important piece of information. The Mueller letter in no way criticizes AG Barr for his accuracy regarding the reporting of the special counsels findings, but instead takes issue with how the summary was released.

“In a cordial and professional conversation, the Special Counsel emphasized that nothing in the Attorney General’s March 24 letter was inaccurate or misleading,” a spokeswoman for the Justice Department told The Washington Post, in relation to a phone call between AG Barr and Mueller after Mueller’s letter. “But, he expressed frustration over the lack of context and the resulting media coverage regarding the Special Counsel’s obstruction analysis.”

AG Barr also doubled down saying, “I talked directly to Bob Mueller, not members of his team,” he said, adding: “Mueller never told me that the expression of the findings is inaccurate.”

If anything, the Mueller testimony will back up AG Barr.
