A February survey conducted by National Republican Congressional Committee revealed that 80-year-old House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) is the most unpopular elected person in the country.
Her total score included a 52 percent “unfavorable” rating with 45 percent of the total adding that she is “very unfavorable”. She has a 41 percent favorable rating.
She was immensely unpopular with many “key” subgroups, such as Hispanics, women and union households. In particular, she has severe unpopularity with independent voters and suburban women.
The survey said that “Pelosi is unpopular with almost every key subgroup” aside from members of the Democratic base.
The survey was released shortly after Pelosi revealed her plot to use the Democrat-led House as a “factory for Democrat priorities.” The House has already passed the controversial Equality Act H.R.1 as well as the $1.9 trillion coronavirus stimulus without the approval or vote of a single Republican official.
